Cleanroom Coordinator

Sassenheim, The Netherlands
Full-time
Fixed-term
3,500 - 4,500 € per month

Your (space) mission

As the Cleanroom Coordinator at cosine you are the central point of contact and hands-on coordinator for all cleanroom activities. You work closely with scientist-engineers, lab technicians, contractors and support teams to ensure a well-organized, safe and contamination-controlled environment.

At cosine, our cleanrooms are where precision meets space. Here, we build and test advanced optical instruments for ESA missions such as NewAthena and future space exploration programs.

You safeguard cleanroom integrity by ensuring compliance with procedures, safety standards and quality requirements, while actively supporting daily operations on the floor. You bring structure, alignment and clarity, enabling teams to focus on delivering high-end space hardware.

You are present, approachable and proactive. You coordinate, support and guide rather than delegate, and help create a collaborative environment where people take ownership and perform at their best.

Tasks & responsibilities

In this role you will:
  • Coordinate and support daily cleanroom operations across teams and activities
  • Ensure staff and contractors comply with cleanroom entry procedures and working standards
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all cleanroom users (internal and external)
  • Safeguard compliance with project requirements, internal procedures, and contamination control standards
  • Monitor workflows, workload balance and execution quality to maintain consistency
  • Support and coach lab technicians in their day-to-day work
  • Drive continuous improvement in cleanroom organization, usage and coordination

Your profile

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a engineer or technician in cleanroom environments, ideally in the semiconductor or space industry
  • Bachelor's degree (HBO) in a technical study or compensated by sufficient relevant experience
  • Solid knowledge of contamination control and cleanroom standards
  • Experience working with external contractors in a clear and constructive manner
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build trust and alignment across diverse teams and cultures
  • Fluent in English and Dutch, both written and spoken
  • Structured, proactive and comfortable combining coordination with hands-on involvement

What we offer

At cosine, we highly value our employees, and we will support your professional and personal development. We also provide our employees with:
  • A unique, international working environment at the intersection of physics and engineering
  • A competitive salary with an annual bonus based on individual and company performance
  • 27 days of annual leave (based on full-time employment)
  • Hybrid working options, including the possibility to work partly from home
  • Company bicycle and fitness plans
  • A personal development budget
